Mark Schaub specializes in foreign direct investment, M&A and restructuring in China. He is familiar with China issues faced by companies of all sizes and is a trusted advisor to many companies ranging from family owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
Mark is global co-head of our firm's consumer practice where he worked with international brands large and small to enter, grow and exit China.
Mark has worked as a lawyer in Shanghai since 1993. He was the first foreign partner to join our China firm in 2000. He has been consistently awarded Asia Law's "Lawyer of the Year" for corporate work and appears in many guides such as Chambers. Since August 2018, Mark has been splitting his time between London, Frankfurt and Shanghai.

With over 15 years of experience, Tim has consulted with hundreds of European and North American Fortune 500 and SME's to plan and execute their business expansion into Asia. After working at the JLJ Group for nearly 10 years, developing a successful consulting and corporate services practice, Tim sold the business he developed to the Sovereign Group and is now assisting ECFO to aggressively expand their business in Asia.
Tim is frequently called on to speak at events and seminars on a range of issues impacting foreign investors in China, including market entry strategies, best practices for managing supply chains, and current events shaping the business environment in Asia. A passion for international education, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at CIEE, delivering a course to US undergraduates on emerging market entry strategies.
